Motor Vehicle Body Repair Operations Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3

This advanced apprenticeship offers a combination of qualifications, that will equip you
with the skills and knowledge you need to work as a fully qualified panel beater in the
vehicle crash repair industry. There is a constant demand for skilled technicians to repair
crash damaged vehicles and continuing advancement in vehicle technology means that
technicians need to have high technological knowledge as well as outstanding practical
skills.
Entry requirements
Grade requirements:
You will need to have completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Vehicle Body Repair. You will also need GCSE grades A*-C or 9-5 or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths, or equivalent.
Course content
During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
- Removing and replacing structural vehicle body panels
- Identifying and rectifying body misalignment
- Body panel major repairs
Assessment methods
You will be assessed via a number of methods, including practical tasks in the motor vehicle workshop and written and online exams for all units studied. Additionally, your competence will be assessed within your normal workplace.
