Awareness of Mental Health Problems NCFE Level 2 Certificate

This distance learning course will enable you to gain a new qualification whilst working. You will have access to specialist support from dedicated tutors throughout the programme.

Course content

The course consists of 11 units. Within each unit you will focus on one particular aspect of mental health exploring the meaning, causes, effects, symptoms and management of each. 

The course looks in detail at the impact mental health has on a person's family and friends, giving you a good idea of what it feels like to experience mental ill-health. Units include: understanding mental health; stress; anxiety; phobias; depression; post-natal depression; bipolar disorder; schizophrenia; dementia; eating disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Assessment methods

Learners will be provided with a resource pack with assessment booklets to complete.

Additional information

Please note that an administration charge of £100 will be charged if learners do not complete the course within the allocated 16 weeks.
